Made to order sapphire halo engagement ring
As this ring is made to order, we source diamonds and gemstones to suit your preferences and budget.
We will ask for a ring size but if you do not know your partner’s ring size and the proposal is a surprise, we can work to an estimate. We offer complimentary ring resizing on all engagement rings. If you have access to a ring your partner usually wears, this can offer a helpful starting point, supported by our ring sizing guide.
This ring will be handmade by James in our Hertfordshire workshop and by trusted London craftsmen on Bond Street. We typically require a lead time of 6–8 weeks. Once complete, we will hallmark your ring in London before delivery or collection.
Crafted for life’s stories
The sapphire and diamond combination in this coloured gemstone engagement ring creates contrast and depth. Sapphires have long symbolised wisdom, loyalty and royalty, giving the ring a regal presence. The vintage-inspired halo introduces layered detail, drawing the eye outward and creating a design with dimension and meaning.
We offer complimentary engraving inside the band allowing you to keep a meaningful date or message close.
Design and materials
We work with ethically sourced natural diamonds and gemstones from trusted suppliers. We will guide you in selecting a centre stone of exceptional colour and character, along with precisely matched diamond and sapphire halo stones.
Talon claws frame the centre stone, allowing light to enter cleanly. A scalloped setting shapes the surrounding diamond halo, which we finish with a row of castle-set sapphires. Each element has been chosen for its strength and visual balance, creating harmony throughout the design.
Photographed example
The Kensington Ring shown holds a 2.68 carat Ceylon sapphire, along with 0.68 carats of diamonds and a further 0.23 carats of Ceylon sapphires. The band measures approximately 2.4mm in width. We handcrafted this example in platinum with 18-carat yellow gold claws.
