Choosing an engagement ring doesn’t have to mean spending your weekend visiting jewellery shops. James meets clients by appointment in London, making it easy to design a ring around your schedule.

Meet James at one of the Soho House private members’ clubs dotted across the city. We’ll arrange everything in advance. James can bring examples of his jewellery and, as your design develops, he can bring diamond and gemstone options for you to consider. Preparation in advance means your time together can be focused on the decisions that matter.

Planning a surprise? A convenient weekday appointment makes discreetly planning a proposal easy. James can help you navigate design and diamond choices while fitting in with your day. If meeting at your workplace would be more convenient, James is happy to come to you on occassion if a private space can be booked.

Work directly with your jeweller

Your London appointments are with James – the designer and jeweller who will create your engagement ring. With expertise spanning design, craftsmanship and diamond grading, you’ll be in the best hands throughout your proposal journey.

Based on his understanding of what you’re looking for, James will develop your design and select diamonds or gemstones. He’ll then help you refine your design and make your final stone choices. Once your ring is in creation, James will work on it himself alongside specialist craftsmen in London who he involves in its making.

The continuity of one jeweller getting to know you, advising you, and being the same person responsible for bringing your vision to life and ensuring its final delivery to you creates a very personal way of buying an engagement ring.

London craftsmanship

James has excellent relationships with expert setters and polishers who work for some of the finest jewellery names along London’s Bond Street. Your ring will move directly between James’ hands and these specialist craftspeople at their workshops. James calls on the right skills at the right time for each individual ring.

Care is given to every detail. Your ring will be made using a combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques. As a result it will not only look exceptional but be comfortable to wear and stand the test of time.

Every engagement ring we create is designed and made entirely in Britain.

Get in touch with Rosie and James to confirm your closest Soho House club  and arrange an appointment. James is in London once or twice a week therefore an appointment can usually be made pretty quickly. You don’t need to be a Soho House member. Rosie will organise your visit and provide details.

Yes. With Soho House clubs across London James can meet you at the location that is most convenient.

Where appropriate, James can also meet you at your workplace if a suitable private space can be booked in advance.

Once James understands what you’re looking for he will source a carefully selected array of diamonds or gemstones for youu to consider. Her will bring these to your appointment for you to view in person. He’ll talk you through the differences and help you compare the options.

Yes, many couples choose to design their engagement ring together. James can meet with you both to explore ideas, look at different styles and discuss what you’re looking for.

As your design develops, you can arrange to view shortlisted diamonds or gemstones together.
